This follows on from my recent post about landscape photography as art. It is not the type of picture that I would normally display because it doesn’t have obviously strong visual elements – I feel like most people wouldn’t look twice. However it does give me the feeling of the place, which I was trying to record – stillness, cool air, and everything jumbled and alive. I’d be interested to hear if anyone else has the same interpretation or if it only works for me because I have the memory to go with the photo.

I like how the contrast between rough and smooth lines expresses the exact feeling of dry creaky branches tapping and rustling against a solid trunk in the wind.
